We have recently been experiencing the Renaissance of the type of compact flagships, so if you are in the market for a small premium smartphone, you are in luck. US In markets like, however, the choice of small flagships is not large, but two smartphones are consistently POPPP – Samsung Galaxy S225 and Google Pixel 9. The price of both in the US is the same, while the Galaxy S 25 in Europe is a bit more expensive.

Therefore, it is wonderful what is a better deal. On paper, both of them are the top-level devices of their respective OEM, both are the same in sizes, and both promise long software support. So, let’s dive the Deep Wand to see what is beyond the Specs Sheet.

Table of contents:

For beginners, you can compare the full specs sheets or continue directly with the assessment of our editor In the following text.

Size comparison

Although both devices are classified as compact flagships, if the size and weight are very important to you, then the Galaxy S25 should be your favorite. Samsung’s offering fur is short, slightly narrow, significant thin and lighter. Significantly, Pixel 9 has a large 0.1 inch of screen, but because of a thin bezel in S2, it has a more convenient screen-to-body ratio.

Interestingly, both handsets share almost the same design and material. Except for the camera lens design in the back, both share the same flat design on their fronts, sides and back. Both the same premium materials come with all -air – aluminum side frames, gorilla glass developed 2 sheets on both sides. In both cases the English protection rating is also IP68.

Comparison

Instead, the two gives the same display, keeping the difference of modest size. It runs on both 120 Hz, offers HDR 10+ certification and shows the same 1080p+ resolution.

However, the Galaxy S25 has more Energy-efficient LTPO OLED panel, while Pixel 9 is significantly brighter. In fact, this is a bright display we have seen in the Office Fiss. We measured more than 2,200 Neat At Pixel 9, when the Galaxy reached almost 1,400 NIT.

B Battery Terry Life

Despite various display techniques, chipsets and battery capacity, both devices provide the same battery life. Active use scores are almost the same, too. However, there is a nuisance. For example, Pixel 9 offers a slightly better web browsing runtime, while the S25 video playback and the pixel edge in gaming tests. Nevertheless, the differences are rather negligible, so battery is a matter of life until what you get.

Preaching

Often, Pixel 9 and Galaxy S22 charge equal quickly. Or should we say slow? Two devices are throat and throat in the first 15 to 30 minutes of the charging cycle, but the Galaxy S22 pixel beats along the finish line 8 minutes To save. In fact, it is a trivial difference.

Chair

In the speaker test, both devices trade blows. When the pixel 9 is slightly loud, the speakers of the Galaxy S22 are quality wise. Speakers of Pixel 9 look small and flat, while the Galaxy S22 brings out significantly more bass and makes soundtracks perfect and warm.

Operation

Both devices run on completely different chipsets. The Galaxy S25 has the latest and great from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, while the pixel 9 tensor depends on the G3SOC. HIST, when it comes to raw performance, tensors have constantly failed to influence, and this case is not different.

The base configuration of both devices is the same – 12 GB/128GB, but the S 25 512 GB provides internal storage, the pixel 9 only goes up to 256 GB.

Also, S22 has a quick UFS 4.0 storage (only if you get 256 or 512 GB variants compared to UFS 3.1 on Pixel 9).

As we have earlier hinted, the tensor G3 SOC is more powerful for the Galaxy Snapdragon 8 Elite Pixel 9. The results of all three popular benchmark tests show that the Galaxy S25 is as powerful as the S2 Pixel 9.

Camera comparison

At first glance, the Galaxy S22 has a more powerful camera hardware, mostly due to the dedicated 3X OPT pattical zoom shooter, though it has a small 10MP sensor. On the contrary, opposite 12MP snapper on Pixel 9S25, offers a large 50MP main sensor and ultravide CAM with a 48MP pixel-binded sensor. In addition, the ultravide on the pixel is of tofocus.

In both cases the selfie hardware is solid – 12MP with AF for Samsung and 10.5MP with AF for Pixel 9.

The quality of the image

Often, we liked the photos of Pixel 9 more – it is cleaner and less sharpened, while the level of details is the same. The main one of the pixel Camera Mero also produces stability with a wide dynamic range (note the shadows). The same is the same for ultravide cameras, but the difference in sharpness and detail is more noticeable at night.

Most similar observations also apply to ultravide cameras, but ultravide of pixel 9 also resolve in more detail. You should also know that we have used the Galaxy S 25+ to compare the ultravide camera, as our S22 has an OPT pattal defect on its UW CAM, and we wanted a suitable comparison.

The Galaxy S takes the lead during 25 days as long as the zoom photos go away. The 2x crop zoom photos taken with S22 are a TAD sharp and maybe even more detail.

And not surprisingly, due to the dedicated OPT pattical zoom camera, 3x zoom pictures are better from the S 25, which is a lack of pixel 9.

However, what we didn’t expect is that the 3x crop zoom photos of Pixel 9 will take the lead after the dark. Perhaps the big main sensor on Pixel 9 beats a small telephoto snapper on S 25, even without an optical lens.

But even at 2x, photos of the pixel are cleaner and intense again at night.

And when it comes to selfies, it is the turn of the Galaxy S22. Although it is more alive than the pixel 9 selfie punching colors, it has a sharp and more detailed photos.

Video quality

Below we have a few framagrabs taken by two phones taken by two phones at each central length so it is easier to compare with each other.

Videos outside the Camera Mera’s main K of Pixel 9 are clearly better than S2. Pixel videos provide better exposure, dynamic range, sharpness, color reproduction, etc.

However, at all other focal lengths – 0.6, 2x and 3x, it is the Galaxy S 25 that takes the lead as it resolves more beautiful detail, while the footage looks less processed and more natural.

Judgment

The verdict here will be difficult. While both phones in the U.S. When sold at the same price, the Galaxy S 25 is a little more expensive than Europe’s Pixel 9.

Samsung’s phone will give you a better performance, better sound speakers, and they are a little more compact. It also records better video quality in almost all cases.

Although the telephoto unit is missing, Pixel 9 is a better choice for photography and challenges the S 25’s 3X zoom camera in low-light scenes. Pixel also has a bright performance and is affordable in Europe.

On average, we will say that both phones will give you almost the same level of user experience and their hardware features have been applied evenly so that the choice between the two will mostly be in the selection of brands or Software Fatware.
