Samsung’s Galaxy S25 family, which has just become available, is using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset worldwide, as Samsung had yield issues with its own Exynos 2500 SOC to be used in some markets. That chip will now apparently power the next Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Next year, the Galaxy S26 Series may return to Exynos. According to a new report, pre-production steps for the Exynos 2600 SOC are on all schedules, and the yield is higher than expected more than 30% in test production. If nothing goes wrong, then a large amount of chip production is expected to start in the fourth quarter of this year, so that it comes to the Galaxy S26 devices starting in January 2026.

The Exynos 2600 will be created using Samsung’s SF2 2 Nm process, which is expected to freeze for production in the second half of 2025. This process should improve the performance by 12%, the power efficiency is 25%, and 5%less than it is 3nm SF3.
Samsung’s system LSI division is timely pouring resources into a large amount of exynos 2600, so as not to repeat the Exynos 2500 delay. The issues of the issues will have a huge impact on the non-memory business of the company that will once again suffer “big operating petting deficit” if things go badly.
