A few days ago, a rumor told us to expect Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra to finally increase its charging capacity by 45 W, its predecessor was stuck at 65 W.
Today, a new report is a contradiction based on the code found in a UI 8. If this is accurate information, then the S26 ultra will only support 60 W wire charging.
Yes, the snow universe was really appropriate. The Galaxy S26 Ultra 60W will support fast charging! https://t.co/kcvqjm7b2j Pic.twitter.com/9sos1nadlr

Sure, that is not a big difference for 65 W, and it is still a very significant improvement by 45 W. The previous rumor also claimed that the phone would get a 5,500mAh battery, which would be 10% larger than S22 Ultra, but we have to note that other sources claim that the S26 Ultra cell will actually be at 5,000 mAh like its predecessor, which is somehow with fast charging support.
When all of this seems to be confusing, one thing looks very clear: S26 Ultra definitely will not become champions in battery capacity or how quickly it charges. In both areas, its Chinese competitors beat it, and much more. What is new, right?
