Yesterday we saw the first set of a leaked render depicting the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, and today the Galaxy Z Flip 7 has received the same treatment. Like Fold 7, this is also a CAD-based, so trivial details with the final product may still be different, but they give a very good idea about what to expect, from Samsung’s upcoming flagship flip-style foldable design wise.
The source of the render claims that when the flip 7 166.6 x 75.2 x measures 6.9 mm while manifesting (9.1 mm thick with camera bumps). This means that the device will always be a little ler, more wide, and the same thickness as its predecessor.
The added size is there to accommodate large screens – 6.8 “inside and 3.6” outside. Flip 7 will still have only two main cameras, 50 MPs main and 12MP ultravide. Obviously we can get an upgrade sensor than Flip 6, though resolutions are the same.
Flip 7 Exynos can be powered by 2500 SOC, depending on how much the yield is improved. If not, it will go with Snapdragon 8 Elite, although it is not clear whether it will use a seven-core version. RAM will be 12 GB and storage options will be 256 GB and 512 GB.
Flip 6 is expected to remain the same as pricing last year, which is a good thing because we do not see any increase, but it is not a great thing to consider how we are waiting for foldable smartphone prices to come down for years and they should never have a significant limit. Finally, some good news: Crease will look less than Flip 6.
