The Samsung Galaxy S 25 Edge is now available in many parts of the world, after its launch a few days ago. Samsung says that this is more than a design milestone, it is also a solution to long -running issues in smartphone engineering.

The company describes the innovations that allow it to fit the Snapdragon 8 elite and 200MP cameras into the phone that measures only 5.8 mm thick and weighs 163g.

The outer is a strong titanium frame, similar to the S22 ultra. The 6.7 “LTPO display on the front is protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 (S2 is available on the edge for now), the rear protection is done by developing Gorilla Glass 2.

But it is inside where the innovation begins. Samsung had to develop a new mounting system for the internal design of the phone, allowing it to put 0.1 mm precision components. The design just went through multiple prototypes until the design was appropriate.

Engineers shave more than 10% from the thickness of the 200MP camera by izing izing to Tofocs and OPT pattical image stabilization hardware. They also designed a two-level camera housing that helps to offset the height of the module. Here is the result compared to the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which also has a 200MP camera.

For the Galaxy by Snapdragon 8 Elite, the edge of the S 25, the remaining S22 is operated like a family. Its thin frame makes a big issue, however, Samsung added a large steam chamber (10% larger than 10% of S 25+) and introduced the “Hall Structure” design.

This is a large cutout in the phone’s metal frame that allows more direct connection between the chipset and the steam chamber. There is also a corresponding thermal interface that enhances heat from other ingredients.

Did the Samsung Galaxy S20 succeeded in fasting under constant load? The company is happy with the result, but our tests show that it was not enough – S 25+ with its small steam chamber also comes out better during long tests.

Looking at the future, it is rumored that Samsung will take what he learned from the design of the S 25 Edge camera and apply it to the S26 series. The next Galaxy Z Fold 7 is said to be impressively thin, perhaps borrowed ideas from the S2 Edge design.
