As Samsung is preparing to start its first mixed-realization headset, the Dub Project Mohan, the Korean Tech Giant demonstrated the cutting edge oledos panel for such headsets, capable of reaching 20,000 nits brightness.
Oldos panels are similar to standard OLED screens, but instead of using glass or plastic substrate for backplane, they use silicone, which allows the density of high brightness, resolution and pixel. It is mostly used on small screens, and Samsung has paired it with a micro lens array to see the luminosity and angles more.
However, we do not know that Samsung will use a 1.3-inch panel for its XR headset, but it can use its flagship Oldos panel with 5,000 PPI and 15,000 NITS Peak Brightness, and 120 Hz variable refresh rate. It was displayed last month.
US During the Augmented World Expo (AWE) 2025, the company announced several other cutting edge displays-the-OLDOs panel, two QD-OLED gaming monitor, a flexible gaming OLED, 12.4-inch rollable and foldable panel, multi-foldable and micro-display.
