The Snapdragon 8 Elite General 5 may be the best new chipset in the Android region, but Qualcomm is also installing on the PC side with its X elite series chips. Snapdragon X2 Allight and X2 Allight Extreme are the latest chipsets for windows on arm machines and it brings greatly benefit from influence and efficiency on first-genital Snapdragon X Elite models.

There are three chips in the new X2 series-12-core CPU with X2 Elite (X2E-80-100), X2 Allight (X2E-88-100) 18-core CPU and X2 Elite Extreme (X2E-96-100), which is also 18 CPU Coroni. All three new chips are fabaded on TSMC’s 3nm process.

Qualcomm claims that X2 Allight Extreme Ultra-Premium is designed for Windows 11 pcs that face “specialist-level workload”, while regular X2 Allight is for a premium PC in “Resource-Intensive Workload”. Qualcomm also claims “multi-day battery life” for its new chips.
All three X2 Elite SOCs have the Snapdragon 8 Elite General 5, the 3rd Pay Generation Qualcomm Orion CPU, but with 18 CPU cores on X2 Elite Extreme.

Baseline X2 Elite Chip 6x Performance CPU Cora 3.4GHz and 6X Prime Core at 4.0GHz, which increases to 7.7GHz. The 18-core version of the X2 Allight has 12 prime cores and 6 performance cores, which are split with the same maximum clock speed.
The X2 Allight Extreme Prime Cores accelerates 4.4GHz clock speed, which increases to 5.0GHz and 6.6GHz on the performance core side.

Qualcomm is claiming 31% of CPU performance on ISO power and 43% less power draw than the previous pay generation of X elite chips.
X2 Allight Chips show an upgraded adreno GPU, which Qualcomm claims that the first-general Snapdragon X will provide an increase of 2.3x in operation and power efficiency compared to the elite chips. You also get DirectX 12.2 Ultimate, Vulcan 1.4 and OpenCL 3.0 support.

New chips Qualcomm’s latest hesitagon receives NPU with 80 tops of AI processing, which Qualcomm claims that the world’s fastest NPU is for laptops. All three X2 Allight Chips supports Qualcomm Snapdragon Guardian technology for LPDDR 5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage and remote management.
The first laptop spring with X2 Allight Chips is expected to begin in 2026.
