Sony’s old flagship – Xperia 1 VI is now finally receiving its stable Android 16 update. Users across European markets, including the UK, are now receiving the Android 16 update, including 69.2.A.2.30 Build number and comes in at 850MB.
This is the second major update for the Xperia 1 VI following its Android 15 update last year. The device is scheduled to receive one more update as promised by Sony since its launch.

In typical Sony fashion, the update screen doesn’t bring up a detailed changelog. Users can expect minimal UI changes along with stability enhancements and optimizations. According to Reddit users, the camera app version is up to 1.0.2.A.0.6 and the settings menu has a redesigned look. Users are also reporting an update to the October security patch.
