Spotifi makes parents easier to control their children's content

Parents such as a premium family account holder can now filter clear content, ban some songs, albums or artists, and hide short videos playing with a certain track. In addition, the messaging feature is completely removed from children’s accounts. These restrictions apply to children under the age of 13.

Significantly, these managed accounts are different from the dedicated Spotife Kids app.

Of course, the kids are still free to curat their own playlists and songs, and will find suggestions of the spotife algorithm based on their hearing habits. These instructions will also be different from the parent’s suggested tracks and artists.
