We are testing the Techno Comon 40 Premier 5G and want to share our battery life findings.

Techno switched to SI/C Tech for Camon 40 Premier Battery, but it increased by minimum 100 mAh at Camon 30 Premier Battery Capacity – 5,000 mAh to 5,100 mAh.

The new model also has an upgraded chipset, which is the dementia 8350 on the advanced N4P node more than the TSMC. The 2024 Premier was the dementia 8200 final fabd with the old CPU Cora (A78/A55 vs. A715/A510) on the new model.

Other relevant changes include a slightly small display, 6.67 “Vs. 6.77”, which is almost the same pixel density, as the resolutions are quite close.

Life test

On paper, all the hardware changes promise a better battery life for the techno 40 premiere, but its predecessor has beat it. And either by a small margin, there is an active use rating in the 2024 premiere which is 2 hours higher and each individual test has high scores. The video playback test is also not near because the old phone with a large screen lasted 4 and a half hours. Gaming is also surprising, Mali G615-MC 610G610-MC6 provides many additional omes in the graphics section (we will look at more detailed performance in the review). Yet the old phone lasted about 2 hours.

Infinix Note 50 Pro+ Camon 40 Premier – Dimension is very similar hardware for 8350 and a slightly large 5,200 mAh battery and 6.78 “displays. Both displays run on 144 Hz, but Tecno is an LTPO panel.

Then there is the Oppo Renault 13 Pro, the second dementia 8350 based phone. It has a large 5,800mAh battery and nevertheless has to feed a large 6.83 “displays (120 Hz non-LTPO OLEDs), however, Oppo showed impressive endurance with great scores on the board.

Charging speed test

Techno Comon 40 Premier Ship B in with 70W Fast Charger, which is rarely seen to see these days and anyone who has not yet purchased a fast PD charger. However, the Premier does not always charge 70W – to get it, you will need to select the Hyper option from the L Screen C screen after plugging into the phone. Otherwise, it defaults on the smart and you can alternatively select the lower-tamp mode.

While Techno did not share the official charge rating for default lt smart mode, the phone Galaxy matched the A56 (5,000 mAh), which is at the top of 45 W, but was behind Camon 40 Pro (5,200 mAh), which also does 45 W. This is on the mark of 15 minutes, anyway.

For 30 minutes, the premiere is ahead of his pro -siblings, pulling the galaxy ahead. He said that he lagged the old Camon 30 Premier, which also came with a 70W charger (yes, his battery is 100mAh less, but that capacity is only 2% difference).

Interestingly, the Infinix Note 50 Pro+ (5,200 mAH) and POCO X7 Pro (with a large 6,000 mAh battery), respectively, rushed with their high rated chargers, 100W and 90W. His battery was almost full of 30 minutes in the infinix.

However, after reaching 83% in 30 minutes, the Poko X7 Pro hit a speed bump, he needed another 14 minutes to reach 100%. This allowed the Camon 40 Premier to be captured and the full charge was only 3 minutes slow – yes, the battery on the techno is 900 mAh less, but keep in mind that we are looking at the result in smart mode, not hyper mode.

By switching to Hyper mode, we do not see a big difference to start, but the extra speed of the mode is most notable at the 30 minute mark when the Hyper Mode is 75% for the Diff default lt smart mode. This is not enough to catch a phone with an old premiere or charge crowd charged. If you are planning to charge the battery to complete, you can’t even bother with hyper mode – it just cuts 2 minutes of total time. This is more appropriate for the time when the Camon 40 Premier’s battery is dead and you have only 20-30 minutes to charge.

Judgment

Techno Cumon 40 Premier has an average battery life and comes well with the Camon 40 Pro, which has only 100 mAh in the tank. Worst, the old Camon 30 Premier defeats its successor even though its battery. Techno has not really received the best use of new SI/C battery technology.

When it comes to charging, the 70W charger is a good match for a 5,100mAh battery. We suspect that most people will use the default lt smart mode and it is fast – on the flip side, the hyper mode is only a minor fast and will rarely be used even if you remember to tear TG yourself.
