During the MWC 2025, Techno announced four new smartphones from the Camon 40 Series – Camon 40 Premier, 40 Pro 5G, 40 Pro and Vanilla Camon 40. Premier sits on top -end with the most powerful chip, batter display, camera and charging.
Techno has taken something from Ziomi’s playbook and provides its Pro model in two types – 5G and 4G. Both devices are essentially the same, but the 4G variant is suitable for users in the emerging economy where 5G is still not liked. Or you are ok at a 4G network speed and you prefer to save a few bucks.
Anyway, we had some time with all four models, but let’s start with the show’s star, Camon 40 Premier.
Techno cumon 40 Premier
The Techno Cumon 40 Premier is lighter than its predecessor. What is needed is not bad, we really liked the Amon mind 30 Premier.
The most significant upgrades are design and chipset. Demensity 8200 has been rotated for more recent and powerful dementia 8350, while the body takes more traditional shape. The two-tonged look is still here, and the colors available are Amerald Lake Green and Galaxy Black.
According to the spec, the display is approximately the same but with a few significant changes. The screen is now below 6.67 “, 6.77”, but it supports a high 144 Hz refresh rate. Here are also features like 10-bit color depth and HDR.
We are also happy to see the quad 50MP camera system on the board once again. We have three 50 MP shooters on the back with different focal lengths and fourth in the front, which is also PDAF-enabled. This is a rare invention in this price bracket.

All of those hardware draws power larger than 5,100 mAh sales, which supports 70 W fast charging.
Techno Comon 40 Pro 5G and 40 Pro
The Camon 40 Pro comes in two versions – a one who supports 5G connectivity and is limited to one LTE. This, in turn, means that the chipset is the main difference factor. The 5G-prepared version runs on the dementia 7300 SOC, while the vanilla option settles for the Halio G 100 chip.
Aside from the chipset difference, the two devices share the same hardware – ticking at 6.78 -inch OLED panel 144 Hz, 8GB/256GB of memory, a default lt, a 50MP main camera with a 50MP selfie unit with 8MP ultravide and AF. It was a pleasure to see the main and selfie cameras fall below the high-level Camon 40 Premier.
We can’t help, but have noticed some clear downgrades coming from last year’s Camon 30 Pro. Fast charging has been closed from 70 W to 45 W, the ultravide is now 8MP instead of 50MP and the diameter is a 5G variant for the lower-level dementia 7300 compared to 8200.
Another significant change is the design. It is now quite different from the premiere and there is a more Rup Thod Chit ICAL Bhi Camera Mera arrangement on the back, which we are very fond of.

The colors available are once again the sapphire Lake Green and Galaxy Black, but the marks will also add a glacier white option.

Vanilla Caman 40 has the same design as the pros and cons, but have a simple plastic finish. Apart from that, it is mostly the same phones as non -5G40 Pro. We have the same display, chipset, battery and charging on the board.

Apart from the selfie unit, the camera is the same. Instead of 50MP, standard Camon uses a 32MP shooter without 40 AF.
Interestingly, this device has the highest color options from the entire series. In addition to the sapphire Lake Green, Galaxy Black and Glacier White, the Camon 40 will also be available in the Sapphire Glow Glow.
