The Asus ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro were unveiled back in November, with a US launch planned for January 2025. Well, here we are in January 2025, and the two flagship smartphones are now finally available in the US.
The recommended price is $999.99 for the ROG Phone 9, $1,199.99 for the ROG Phone 9 Pro, and $1,499.99 for the ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition. Currently, Asus’ online store has a $100 off deal on the ROG Phone 9, bringing its price down to $899.99. However, it is not clear how long this initial deal will last.
ROG Phone 9 comes with a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with 185 Hz refresh rate and 2,500-nit peak brightness, Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, 12/16GB RAM, 256/512GB storage, triple rear camera system (500) MP with gimbal OIS. main, 13 MP ultrawide, 5 MP macro), 32 MP selfie camera, and 5,800 mAh battery with 65W wired and 15W wireless charging support. There is also an 85-dot programmable mini-LED matrix on the back.
The Pro ups the mini-LED dots to 648 and brings a 32MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom to replace the macro cam, while the Edition bumps the RAM to 24GB and storage to 1TB while the bundle also packs the AeroActive Cooler X Pro.
