Someone can argue that the Samsung Galaxy S22 is a slim-down version of the Galaxy S25+, with a telephoto camera. Finally, both devices share the same displays and approximately the same dimensions, of course, the edge of the S22 is significantly thinner.

So it is easy to believe that the edge of the Galaxy S22 is almost the same as the S 25+, which has some small improvement in the chassis that brings down the overall weight. However, the latest side-to-side teardown video reveals more. It turns out that Samsung was capable of some grams of each component, for example, not just a frame or back plate.
The video is in Korean and follows the Galaxy S25 Edge and the full tears of S 25+, and weighs each ingredient. The video ends with a wide chart that compares different components.
Samsung was mostly capable of losing weight with batteries and medium frames. The battery on the edge is 12.6 grams lighter, while the medium frame is 2.8 grams lighter, mainly due to the use of titanium instead of aluminum. Engineers also shot a few grams of motherboard, camera, back panel, NFC + MST module, vibration motor and speakers.
The weight difference between the ingredients stacks up to 27 grams, that is, the edge of the S 25 is 27 grams lighter and 1.5 mm thin at 163 grams.
