Apple Pal recently overheated its cheaper iPhone line, completely relieved of the SE designation and launched the iPhone 16E. According to a new report by Research Firm Consumer Intelligence Research Partners, Apple Pal is also changing its new “E” cheap iPhone line release schedule.
Unlike SES, which is recently started every two years before being ignored for three, “E” models will come every year. Therefore, in the iPhone 17E 2026, the iPhone will descend after one year after 16E.
This is just a “forecast” by the research pay FIRM, but if it means that Apple Pal has big plans for the “E” line, basically creating a “E” iPhone of the main line of its main devices.
And it makes sense when you consider naming – the iPhone SE models were all called iPhone SEs, but with “e” naming, the suffix is connected to a line of more expensive devices. So it doesn’t make much sense for the iPhone 16e, but not the iPhone 17e, then the iPhone 18e, but not the iPhone 19e – you get the idea.

Now whether the “E” line will succeed in its own right is a completely different question, and most people believe that it will not be (or a set of facilities moves in the next one). But it’s just the Internet, and the Internet also likes a small phone and does not really sell any significant numbers, so nothing is given about this.
