Two prominent Chinese tipsters on Weibo shared some juicy information about the upcoming OnePlus Open 2 – the successor to the original OnePlus Open and a rebrand of the Oppo Find N5 for the global market.
OnePlus Open
It looks like OnePlus and Oppo have skipped the 2024 release deadline, but probably for good reason. According to rumors, the foldable will feature a new, more durable, industrial design featuring titanium and will beat the Honor Magic V3 to be the thinnest foldable on the market.
But there will be more than just design improvements. The report claims that the device will have an improved triple-camera Hasselblad system, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, around 6,000mAh battery, wireless charging and satellite communication support. Very consistent with what we’ve heard so far.
Finally, a tipster believes that the Oppo Find N5 will be launched in China this February, while the global release of the OnePlus Open 2 is scheduled between March and June, before Samsung and Google’s foldables are released.
