It’s been a wild ride in Samsung rumor land over the past few weeks. The Korean company was initially said to be replacing the Galaxy S26+ with the Galaxy S26 Edge, but then the S26 Edge was apparently canceled and the S26+ was back in action.

Now a new rumor claims there’s more to the story, and while the originally planned S26 Edge has indeed been cancelled, it’s now likely to be replaced with another phone. That’s because a device codenamed More Slim is now reportedly in development, which is interesting since the S25 Edge was codenamed Slim.

Additionally, development of the More Slim started later than the phone that is believed to be the S26 Edge. So it looks like Samsung changed its mind and ditched it while working on another S26 edge. Since development started later, this could also arrive, like the S25 Edge, later in the year compared to the main S-series flagship family, which we recently heard was delayed until March to account for the development time required for the S26+.

With a codename like More Slim, we expect the S26 Edge to be even thinner than its predecessor, which begs the question – wasn’t the S25 Edge too thin to be its main problem? We’d argue that battery life and camera conditions might be most people’s main issues with it, but Samsung apparently disagrees. We’re anxious to find out just how slim the S26 Edge will actually be, and what we’ll be missing out on for that to happen.
