A few months ago, EEC certifications surfaced for several devices, including the Vivo V50 (V2427) and V50e (V2428). Now a different certification body, NCC, has completed work on the V2427 and shared images of not only the device but also its charger and its battery.

In terms of design, the Vivo V50 seems to be related to the Vivo S20 which was launched in China in November. And since it’s photographed with a ruler for scale, it looks like the device is 160mm tall by 74mm wide, matching the dimensions of the S20 – presumably, this means the same 6.67″ display.

Other photos show the battery (model BA77), a Li-Ion cell with a rated capacity of 5,870mAh (22.55Wh) and a typical capacity of 6,000mAh (23.04Wh). This is where the V50 departs from the S20, with a Si/C battery with a higher 6,500mAh capacity.

One thing that remains the same, however, is charging support, at least judging by the charger photographed alongside the phone – its top mode is 11V at 8.2A, which works out to 90W. There is also a USB-A to C cable to go with the charger.

Going beyond the capabilities of the NCC for a moment, the rear of the V50 features two camera lenses – if they’re the same as the S20, a 50MP main (1/1.55”, OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide (106°). And there’s a single punch-hold camera on the front, which should have a 50MP sensor.
There is no official announcement date for Vivo V50 (and V50e and other members of the series). However, the Vivo V30 was unveiled in February 2024, the V40 in June. So, if we were to guess, we should hear about the V50 series in 2-4 weeks.
