Days after Reno13 and Reno13 Pro were launched in India, Oppo is introducing two new models in the range – one 5G phone, one 4G, both marked with the letter F. They are almost identical devices except for the different chipsets inside them.

Oppo Reno13 F 5G is powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, while its 4G sibling uses Helio G100. Both are paired with LPDDR4X RAM (2,133MHz), 8/12GB in case of 5G phones, just 8GB for 4G phones. There’s a more obvious difference in storage, with the 5G using the faster UFS 3.1 (128/256/512GB), while its sibling gets the older UFS 2.2 (256/512GB). In both cases, there’s a microSD slot if you need more space.

The display is the same, a 6.67” OLED panel with 1080p+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. They have 100% coverage of the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces and can reach 1,200 nits in high brightness mode. Both are protected by Dragontrail Star 2 glass.

As for protection, the Reno13 F Duo is rated IP6X (dust-tight) and IPX6, IPX8 and IPX9 – the latter two meaning it can survive up to half an hour under 2m of water and hot water jets at 80°C. Additionally, the interior is designed to absorb the impact when the phone is dropped.

The phone is equipped with a triple camera at the back. These include a 50MP main (f/1.8 lens with OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide (112°) and a 2MP macro cam. On the front is a 32MP selfie camera (f/2.4, 82°). The more powerful chipset of the 5G model enables 4K @ 30fps recording with the rear camera, while the 4G Oppo Reno13 F only does 1080p.
