It seems that some users who have returned their pixel 10 units due to hardware issues, have received replacement units with physical nano-SIM slots.

Some users on Reddit have shared that their replacement pixel 10 Pro units have a nano-SIM slot, which is for the global market. While some can see this as a win because the Global Pixel 10S also supports ESIM, there is a warning.
These are global units and lack of MMWave 5G support, which is specific to US models. Global Pixel 10 units are also missing certain 5G bands – namely N29/N48 and N70, which is mainly used by MVNOS.
