Vivo’s X Fold Series has quickly gained reputation for mixing cutting edge hardware with attractive, pocketable design – and the new X Fold 5 continues that legacy in bold fashion. This year, the company’s only flagship is unveiled as foldable, X -folded 5 designs, battery life and the success of the X Fold 3 series with meaningful upgrades in the exhibition. The company has left an X fold 4 model together, possibly because of the 4 being considered unfortunate in the number 4.
Only 3.3 mm thin when manifested and weighs 217 grams, it is a light and thin “book-style” foldable device that has ever been created by Vivo. This is made possible by the use of a resurrected hinge and aerospace-grade material, continuing the vivo pressure to deliver magnificent yet strong foldables.
Battery life sees an increase in capacity with the introduction of 6,000 mAh semi-solid SI/C batteries, which is the first for the segment. It is paired with 80W wire and 40W wireless charging.

According to the camera, Vivo X Fold 5 takes more side-step than its predecessor than a clear-cut upgrade. The main camera is still a 50MP unit, now with a bright F/1.6 hole, though it uses a slightly smaller 1/1.56 inch sensor (below 1/1.3 “). Ultravide maintains the same sensor size and 15mm central length, but now it is attached to the AF/2.1 lens, which is still phase.
The zoom camera exchanges the previous 64MP sensor for a 50MP1/1.95-inch unit, while expanding reach with 70 mm to 85 mm f/2.6 periscope lens. While the setup is still a zeal co-engineering and quite capable, it is a replacement rather than a significant pay generation jump.
Powering the device is Snapdragon 8 General 3 with RAM and 1 TB UFS 4.1 storage up to 16GB, which ensures a top-tier display. It runs 15 outside the bs of Vivo’s Original 5 or Fourth OS 15 for global markets in China, which is full of enhanced multitasking features and foldable-Optim Ptimized UI elements.
Competitive Price Tags and a Spec Sheet that ticks all suitable B boxes qs – especially in terms of design, batteries and displays – Vivo X Fold 5 positions as a serious challenge in the premium foldable segment. Let’s see if the experience lives up to the promise.

Vivo X fold 5 ships in a gorgeous two-piece cardboard b in. It is very rugged and the phone should be very well protected during shipping. Like all foldables, the unit itself is completely open inside the plastic cradle.
Our X folded 5 review unit came with a 90W flashchar charger in B in Q. It still uses USB Type-A lead on the charger side, but at least the USB Type-A to Type-C cable seems to be standard and non -properative (without extra pin). B BOX also has a solid plastic case, or instead, a shell for the phone. It mostly covers half of them, but it is that you can hope for a case for a book-style foldable.
