Leading manufacturers of foldables are in the race to thin their devices – not only in terms of thickness but also in weight. Vivo Exicited B Box Xio Hane shared a video of Vivo X Fold 3 and is weighed on the next X Fold 5 scale and the new model is clearly lighter.

How light? Well, X Fold 3 is 219g, but no official number was given for the new Model Dell – so we can simply say with certainty that Vivo X Fold 5 would be less than that.

According to the leaked specs, the X fold 5 will measure 4.3 mm when opened and closes .3.33 mm. X Fold 3 is 4.7 mm and 10.2 mm respectively. There are already devices that are thinner than that, e.g. Oppo N5 finds 4.2 mm/8.9 mm, but weighs 229g. Snowfall Claims that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 4.2 mm/8.9 mm will measure. So, it will be thinner than vivo, but how much will it weigh? It is TBD at the moment.

However, back to the leaked specs – Vivo X Fold 5 will be powered by Snapdragon 8 General 3, apparently, the same chip on Fold 3 Pro. It will be combined with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. The phone will have a triple 50MP camera on the back, including 3x telephoto, and two 32MP selfies (one on each screen).

We have taken some screenshots of the video (above) and you can see that Vivo X Fold 5 is actually thin than the X fold 3. However, the phone is shown with its main screen up, which does not reveal in more detail. It will be the screen 8.03 “120 Hz” 2K+”panel, while the cover display will be 6.53″ 120 Hz LTPO OLED. The battery is said to have a capacity of 6,000 mAh, 90W wire and 30W wireless charging.

This has not been officially confirmed, but the Vivo X Fold 5 (with X 200 Fannie) is likely to be unveiled on July 10 after one month.
