We got a chance to handle the vivo X300 Pro at the launch of the X300 series in China, but the phone is now in the office and ready for a proper review.
We can also put it side by side with its predecessor, which shows few differences. Most notably, the new phone is smaller in all dimensions.

The main difference is in the display. The X300 Pro has a flat edged screen, while the X200 Pro has a slightly curved display. The Vivo faithful at HQ here aren’t sure if they like their old, slightly curved screen or the new flat one better.

However, what we all agree on is that the new OriginOS 6, which succeeds Funtouch OS as Vivo’s global OS, is neat! The new visuals are fresh, and they actually look better in OriginOS compared to the flat FunTouch.
While the camera system on the Vivo X300 Pro is a more tweaked version of its predecessor, we are still eager to test and see if the images themselves are any better. The biggest story is the new selfie camera, which should be the same unit we love on the X200 Ultra!
We’re also keen to see if the added 510mAh battery capacity makes a big difference in battery endurance.

The hero color of the X300 Pro is mostly this brown. It’s a unique shade on the market, and we love it. The phone comes with a color-matching case in typical Vivo fashion, and you get a beefy USB-C cable, but not much else.

Stay tuned for our full Vivo X300 Ultra review!
