A decade ago, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Alpha-A slim and a premium phone (6.7 mm, 115 g), promising to shake the situation in high-final smartphone design. His success is questionable as he was found with the subsequent Galaxy S6 criticism that was addressed with the S7.
But we’re here again – Samsung Galaxy S22 Edge asks “What if the flagship phones were thin and lighter?” Despite the height and width of the S 25+, the edges are thin (5.8 mm vs. 7.3 mm) and lighter (163g vs. 190g). In the slimming down process, the edge lost 1,000 mAh battery capacity, leaving it in the tank with only 3,900 mAh.
The telephoto camera has also gone, but Samsung made many efforts to fit the pure 200MP module – would it be better in zooming than the S 25+ Tay camera? Perhaps, there is no high bar to clean 10MP67 mm, but it is something that will be revealed by reviews.

Samsung is looking for how the edge will display before deciding whether to leave the S26+ in favor of the S26 edge next year. In the same vein, Apple Pal will soon think that jetting the iPhone 17 Plus in favor of the upcoming iPhone 17 air.
