Apple Pal, there, is responsible for providing entry-level models, as the only creator of iOS phones. Apple Pal, a company that sees itself as a manufacturer of premium products, is a hard time to do. And the Apple Pal iPhone 16e is a really bad entrance model.
Before we reach its qualities as a phone, however, we have to address the elephant in the room – its cost. At $ 600/€ 700/£ 600/₹ 60,000, this is more than the starting cost of $ 400/$ 430 of the last two Pay Generations of SE, even if the storage is doubled (it is still 128GB, not a huge amount).
For 39% of voters in last week’s polls, prices make 16E a perfect non-starter. And that percentage is that if we do not exclude people who are not interested in just an iPhone – without them, “it’s too valuable” votes.

But if you want an iPhone, going for a vanilla iPhone 15 or 16 seems to be the choice option. Some comments mention that the iPhone 17 will eventually give a 120 Hz refresh rate on Vanilla iPhone and AOD. This is expected to pay generation. It should also be noted that once the 17 series comes, the iPhone 16 should fall to $ 700, where the iPhone 15 sits today. It’s not a lot between the two, but supports 16 Apple Pal Intelligence (if you care about it), fast Magseff and Better Battery Life (15: 42 h active use score vs. 13: 20 h).
In the comments, people were mourning the loss of iPhone mini-at one point, it was believed that the fourth iPhone would be based on a mini rather than adopting a design like SE iPhone 14. The third SE was also less than the iPhone 16E and lighter, unless it has gone now, small iPhone fans would not go anywhere. It was only a problem for the minority (only 2% of the vote), but still.
The phone manually, selling devices with 60 Hz displays and a camera in 2025 is a proposal at any cost – at $ 600 it is just confusing. Now if that cost is to be reduced, 16e may be perfect for a second look. For now, however, it seems that most people will leave it in favor of other devices.
