The days went by when the OnePlus was a budget brand – but even these days its budget product line is very expensive. It is not a competitive in the current mid-ray market. Last week’s polls painted a terrifying picture of the future of Nord 5 and Nord CE5.
OnePlus Nord 5 people were very weak with the majority of voting against their hardware. The second largest group thought it was very expensive. Both are of course relevant, but it’s not just about the value for the equation of money. Nord 4 was a unique appearance with an aluminum unibody – the Nord 5 looks normal by comparison.
Snapdragon 8S General 3 chipset is very powerful, but you can get a new 8s General 4 for less than Nord 5. IP65 rating and small batteries on the international model were also generally brought as issues.
The OnePlus Nord CE5 got a clear message yet – “No, I don’t like hardware” got more than 80% of the vote. It is not even a question of being very expensive (for example, India’s price is very close to the Nord 5), the comments people put a lot of holes in the spectesheet.
Some felt that the dementia 8350 apex chipset did not get enough cooling and throttling damaged its constant influence. Others pointed to the lack of stereo speakers (CE4 had it). It is also a major downgrade for India to 5,200mAh from the model’s 7,100mAh battery. MicroSD Slotte got some points to the CE5, though not enough.
The Nord Series is in a bad place right now because she is facing a strong competition in the mid-range market. Price cut OnePlus can promote Nord 5, but it is not enough to save the Nord CE5.
