The launch of the Snapdragon 8 Elite General 5 released the flow of new flagships – the first of Ziomi’s new 17 series. The series has a slightly different makeup with Vanilla and Premium 6.3 “models this year, plus a large model (this time Pro Max name).
Starting with the new, the Xiaomi 17 Pro drew people with its more advanced camera system. It is not exactly the same as a Befear Telefoto module (a large sensor, wide hole) packs, though the sensor is similar to the resolution and focal length.
Some were tempted by a large battery inside the Vanilla Ziomi 17, though the first precursor to the 17 Pro model Ziomi is a larger battery than 15. However, the most popular option ever is the Moto Xiaomi 17 Pro Max-it has a better camera and a larger battery by avoiding any “or” puzzle.
Ziomi 17 is a big brother to worry about Pro Max – some expect the arrival of the ultra model, which will have the best cameras. Pro and Pro Max cameras may seem quite capable, but the promise of 1 “sensor and dual telephoto camera (one of which is 200MP sensor) is difficult for those who are looking for a cutting edge edge camera experience.
Talking about a new feature on Pro and Pro Max, rear display – is it a game? Some think it’s amazing for the main camera selfies that they enable, but the majority is leaning toward “not useful”. It’s not a game, but why is the less capable selfie camera that puts a hole in the screen when you can use a rear camera? Why not under -display cameras? People are not sure this new setup is worth it right now.
Ziomi ignores the 17 rear display and packs a large 7,000mAh battery – so long before we would have considered it impossible to fit the battery in 6.3 “phones. You will lose this 5x/115mm telephoto camera together, only a 2.6x/60mm module, but the phone is slightly narrow.
Given the results of the voting, the Ziomi was suitable for dividing the 17 series into three models – everyone has found an audience. And the audience for the Ultra model is eagerly waiting for its arrival (Ziomi didn’t say anything, but it may not come in early 2026).
In China, the Ziomi 17 series is already a hit, exceeding 1 million sales of record time. Now it is on Ziomi to manage the global projection well – will all three models be available globally or will they leave one? And how much will they cost?
