Realme is home to some of the best value phones in the GT series market and is showing great promise to the latest pay generation. Is the GT7 or GT7T the right phone for you?
Realm GT7 has excellent build quality, a bright, colored LTPO display, good stereo sound and solid camera display. The dementia 9400e chipset is very fast, such as 120W charging (you have to buy your own adapter, though). The 7,000 mAh C/C battery currently ranks the top with some margins in our battery life chart.

Realme GT7T makes some cutbacks to hit a low price point. That means non-LTPO display (otherwise it is the same 6.8 “OLED panel with 6,000 knits Peak Brightness), mid-range dementia 8400 Max chipset and no telephoto camera.

You can read more about the Realm GT7 camera in our review. In short the 50MP main camera (1/1.56 “, OIS) produces good but not great photos, day and night, 50MP2X telephoto camera (1/2.76”, no OIS) but it is kept back by short central length. Upon loss, 8MP ultra-wide is a slight reduction (no 4K videos and no AF), a 32MP selfie camera would have been even better.

The GT7T basically has the same set of cameras, subtracting the telephoto module. Of course, different chipset will also have different processes.
Note that Realme GT7 and GT7T will receive 4 major OS updates and a total of six -year security patches. They launch with Realme UI 6 based on Android 15.

GT models compete against the choice of Poko F7 Ultra (SD8 Elite, € 700), OnePlus 13R (SD8 General 3, € 600) and Samsung Galaxy S 25+ (SD8 Allight, € 1,150). They are all telephoto cameras – 50MP2X for Poko and OnePlus for Galaxy, 10MP3x. Therefore, the GT7T misses zoom in, but it still has power.
The battery of these phones is low, its 13R with a capacity of 6,000 mAh is also significantly behind. Also, their water resistance ratings are not so good, 13R has only IP65, which is not best for nearby flagship.

The POCO X7 Pro (Demensity 00 840 Ultra, € 300) does not have a tele camera and has a 1/1.95 “sensor in its 50MP main. It is affordable, and still has sufficient budget for IP69 certificates.
Given all that, is the Realm GT7 in the short list of phones to consider for your next upgrade?
