OnePlus 13T went on sale in China this week and will launch in India just like OnePlus 13. This brings us back to the eternal question – do people really want small phones?
Answer, if you ask OnePlus, it looks “no”. Representatives of the company have stated that 13 T/13 will not be sold in Europe, the US and Canada.
OnePlus 13 t
It’s disappointing because 13 t is the company’s first small phone – anyway, OnePlus X. He was buried and forgotten very quickly. The 13th follows the same fate? Given the latest news that will not be global, the company does not seem to be more confident.
We are not going to discuss why the OnePlus 13T has decided to limit only a few markets. But let’s take a look at how it compares the other 6.3 “(or so) with a smartphone and then we will reach the poll. Note that we have no prices for India yet, so we will use Chinese prices.
If you get a base 12/256GB model, the OnePlus 13 T CNY sells for 3,400. The Samsung Galaxy S25 CNY 5,500 for the same memory configuration. It is powered by the same Snapdragon 8 elite and is slightly smaller (1.2 mm narrow, 1 mm thin and 23 grams mild) – but 4,000 mAh vs. The battery is very low in 6,260 mAh.
OnePlus has fast wired charging (80W. 25W) but lacks wireless. Also, while 50MP1/1.56 “main camera match, telephoto has a high resolution sensor but short lens -50 mp2x vs. 10 mp3x. 13 t is no ultra-wide camera.
Samsung Galaxy S 25 • Apple Pal iPhone 16 Pro • Google Pixel 9 Pro
The Apple Pal iPhone 16 Pro CNY for 256 GB phones is 9,000. This is approximately the same size but heavy (199 g v. 185 g) and 48MP main (large 1/1.28 “sensor), 12 MP5x periscope and 48MP ultra-wide. The battery is small, so it runs well.
Even if you select the iPhone 16 (with two cameras even with ultra-wide instead of telephoto), you are still looking at high bill-CNY 7,000 for the 256 GB model.
Pixel 9 Pro is not available in China, but is in India. It is heavier than OnePlus (199G vs. 185 g) and the camera hardware is better -50MP Main (1/1.31 “), 48 MP5x periscope and 48MP ultras-wide, plus 42MP ultra-wide selfie cameras. Is significantly smaller than OnePlus.
What do you think? What is the OnePlus 13 T phone for you – a small flagship on the budget – or the OnePlus cut a lot of features?
