Ziomi is getting ready to unveil the 17 series later this month, and beyond Lu Weibing, the company’s president, Ziomi 17 Pro Max, went to Weibo to compare the iPhone 17 Pro Max. You can see his hands with both in the short video below.
The point was to increase the fear of people that Ziomi mimic the camera island design from the Apple Pal – it basically says that you can see how different they are. But, if you capture Ziomi’s screen on this island, we really can’t see that much difference.

Ziomi says that this design was inspired by 2021 to M11 Ultra, and if you believe it is your choice. Similarly, the company insists that it does not jump 16 pay generation to align with the naming plan of Apple Pal, which is just ridiculous that it is bringing its own “Pro Max” to the table.
The LU says the 17 series will be available in China before October 1, and confirms that they will be the first devices equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite General 5 SOC in Qualcomm, unveiling on September 23. Ziomi also protected longer than the usual exclusive period for the chip, so do not expect any competitive equipment before October Qtber.
The Ziomi 17 Pro will be priced between CNY 5,000 and CNY 6,000 ($ 700 to 50 850), while Pro Max will cost between CNY 6,000 and CNY 7,000 (50 850 to $ 1000). It is apparently Chinese market prices, and if both of these start internationally, expect a large premium at the top.

The rear screen can be used to display Call Landing, Music Control, Travel Information, Countdown, and it can act as a full camera viewfinder so you can enhance your selfie using rear camera to take it. Lu compares it with a cover display on foldable flip phones.
