Just two years ago, we reviewed the Ziomi TV Stick 4K. We found it to be a solid player, but he lacked his support for the HDR formats. The company just unveiled the second pay -generation model that fixes it and brings other updates.
Ziomi TV Stick 4 or 2G General Quad-Cortex-A55 CPU and Arm Mali-G310 V2 GPU is powered by a new chipset. Compared to the old chip (4x A35, Mali-G31MP2), it has 80% CPU effect and a 150% increase in GPU performance. However, the memory capacity remains unchanged on 2GB RAM and 8GB of storage.
It now runs a Google TV interface. Google renamed its TV product, but Google TV is what you want (Android TV is the old Laun score but also the name of OS).
The new rod supports not only the Dolby vision, but also the HDR 10+ (which was lacking on the first-leaf). For Audio Dio, he handles both the Dolby Atomus and DTS: X. The original stick has already supported AV1 decoding, as is one of this.
Connectivity has been improved with fast Wi-Fi 6 (above AX, Wi-Fi 5/AC). Bluetooth is the same on V 5.2.
There are a few new buttons in the included remote. It uses Bluetooth, as the rod is likely to be hidden behind your TV and the infrared will not work (IR needs a line of sight). New Ziomi TV+ starts a free live TV streaming service. It also adds YouTube and app buttons to Netflix and Prime video buttons.
Right now, the Xiomi TV Stick 4 or 2nd General Elexpress is listed for € 40/$ 46 (this is with 52% discount claimed). We should start looking at it soon on other retailers.
