JHANSI: An extravagant wedding sendoff in the city has become the talk of the town, capturing the attention of locals and social media alike. The unusual spectacle unfolded on Friday during the vidai (ceremonial farewell) of Karishma, who had married Rahul Yadav of Raksa just a day prior.
In a grand and unconventional twist, nearly a dozen earth movers (JCBs) followed the bride’s car as she left for her new home. The celebratory procession, complete with a DJ playing loud music, turned heads as it made its way through the busy streets, drawing large crowds eager to catch a glimpse of the unique celebration.

While lavish wedding processions featuring car cavalcades, palanquins (palkis), bullock carts, and even helicopters have been witnessed in the city, this particular sendoff stood out due to the presence of the heavy construction machines. Family members of the groom were seen riding on the earth movers, which moved in a coordinated formation along the road.

One of the groom’s relatives mentioned that they wanted to make the occasion memorable and distinct from conventional wedding celebrations. The choice of using earth movers was deliberate, as some of these machines were owned by the family, adding a personal touch to the grand gesture.

However, the celebratory display soon caught the attention of authorities. A day after the event, police took action, seizing three of the earth movers for violating the Motor Vehicles Act and traffic regulations.
Confirming the enforcement action, circle officer (Traffic) Sneha Tiwari stated that the seizure was necessary due to the disruption caused on public roads and non-compliance with legal norms.
Despite the legal repercussions, the wedding sendoff continues to spark conversations, with videos and images circulating widely, leaving many in awe of the creativity and grandeur displayed in the celebration.
